Trick or treat!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This year, we decided to make a specialty spooky label for Junmai… now we just need to figure out our costumes.. a bunch of rice grains? Robot fermentation tanks? We’ll think of something.

Stop by the brewery on the 31st for some candy and sake- we’ll be here all afternoon!

Oh and thanks for decking out the brewery with Halloween decorations, Evan :)

WORLD SAKE DAY was awesome

We had so much fun celebrating World Sake Day with you and want to say a special thanks to Mika for hosting such an amazing event.

White banners hung from the rafters, people were laughing and enjoying sake tastings, there were beautiful art vendor booths, and even a live jazz music performance. Nothing but big smiles and a few hangovers from our Kato Sake Works team. Kanpai!

ONE YEAR Newsletter anniversary!

Woo hoo! This Newsletter marks a whole year of writing these, so I just wanted to say thanks so much for reading. We’ve had a blast capturing some of the fun things going on at the brewery in blog-form and we love getting to share that with our community.

After a year of reading, do you have any feedback for us? Something you’d like to see us cover?.. Any parts of the process you’d like to learn more about? Just respond to this email to let us know!

Here’s a sketch from the very first newsletter about our bottle labeler (that we love now) :

By the way, if you just started getting these, you can visit our website here to check out the archive of our previous posts :)

PS: Ready for us to bring those warm jars of sake back? It’s starting to get chilly out, so be on the lookout for a social media post or come see us at the Maria Hernandez Farmers Market on Saturday mornings!
